True Gospel

If you don't Know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and would like to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, please say this prayer: Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey you, and to do your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

SAVE A SOUL TODAY

“He that winneth a soul is wise”, John 15: 16 you are chosen to bear fruit convert
 Text: Prov. 11:30, Rom 1:13.
We must be clear about the nature and necessity for evangelism as it is presented to us in the bible, we must be clear also on the legitimacy and importance of the call to do it.
EVANGELISM
1. Evangelism comes from Greek word ‘Evangelizo it means to bring good news  ...of the gospel to people.
Act of communicating the gospel to unsaved with the view to bring them to salvation.
God has chosen us among mankind for Himself John 15:19 and for distinct service Lk 6:13, 1Pet 2:9-10

ii.                 REASON FOR EVANGELISM

1.                 The value of life i.e. life or soul is important, valuable or precise than all that is in the world: Mark 8:35-38, Gen 9:6 no duplicate.
2.                 Hell is real, is describe as a place of fire, darkness, brimstone torment, anguish and pain for ever. Luke 12:5, Rev 19:20, 20: 10, 14, 15, Mt 25:46.
3.                 Christ suffering on the cross: Ish 53:5, Rom 5:8
4.                 The folly, vanity of this world – 2Pet3:10-11, Eccl 1:2
5.                 The glories of Heaven : Rev 21:1, 2, 4-5
6.                 The personal reward:- 1Th 2:1-9
iii.               REQUIREMENT S

1.                 He must be saved
2.                 He must leave a pure life surrender to Christ 2cor 5:17
3.                 He must be filled by holy Spirit – Eph 5:18
4.                 He must know the word of God – 2Tim 2:15, IITim 3:16
5.                 He must be prayerful – Act 12:5, 1 The 5:17, Phil 1:4
6.                 He must have compassion for soul – Mk 8:12
7.                 He must work with Love, dedication seal, faith, commitment  - Lk 15:1-3, 8-10 and Lk 19:10
COMPONENT OF EVANGELISM
A.  Action: Present Christ   John 3:16
B. Purpose: Men may trust in Christ as savior. Act 2:36
C. Power:  Holy Spirit
D. Result: Serve Christ as Lord in the Fellowship of His Church
It covers everything the church does which aim at conversion, bring them to discover their sin repent, believe and obey in Fellowship
3 TRUTHS ABOUT IT
1.     Jesus commanded us to Go with all of His power – Act 1:8, Eph 1:11-21 i.e omnipotence – authority above nation, creature, human, super human, church, devil and his work.
2.     Go with all of His Parish all Nations – the field is big enough for all Vs 19..
3.     Go with His Entire Program calling men for decision for Christ disciple the, bring them to into fellowship.
a)     Making of disciple thru-hearing and believing the gospel
b)     Baptize of the disciple in triune name.
c)     Warn and teaching them to obey Christ.
TWO FACTORS THERE
1.     The evangelistic goal of the great commission = is to lead people to Christ through the preaching  of the gospel – Rom 1:16, 15
2.     The educational Goal of the great commission – is to teach them to observe all things, or to put into practice the things that Jesus taught – knowledge plus principles leads lives changing.
3.     Go with all of His presence to lam with our – personality will back us even God lead. The Great Am. Rom 8:31, we have conquerors vs 37.
OUR INVOLVEMENT
God work through us is like basic method of evangelism.
1.     Preaching – public announcing the gospel to the people telling them to leave their sin and repent and accept the savior – Christ the word 1cor 1:23, 1Pet 1:23.
2.     Teaching – we explain the gospel truth, grand split simply to people and help them to apply those truths to their lives.
3.     Witnessing- we tell the people what God has reveal and what Christ has come to offer for us in terms of life forgiveness, joy, peace, eternal life etc.- John 3:11
4.     Let Holy Spirit speak through you. Power – 1Th 1:5 Act 4:29-31
5.     Prayer even with tears – Act 20:19 i.e. Paul wept for soul
6.     Be courteous- don’t be talkative, don’t argue, let them speak too.
7.     Be sympathetic. Lk19;8-10
8.     Don’t hold prejudice toward them.
9.     Don’t rely on your ability but Christ that strengthen you
10.Deal with them as they are not superior
Examples:  Andrew - John 1:40-42 Philip – John 1:44-47, Philip –Act 8:26, 30, 35vs37. Samaritan woman. John4:28-30, 39
CONCLUSION   The great commission is still in effect, we must never forget that it is from the Lord Himself. And it has been given to all God’s people. We are God’s ambassadors called to sound warning, judgment and call sinners to repentance, announce God’s grace.
