The Godhead

There are three who bear record in heaven, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and these three are one (1John 5:7).

1.     God the Father- (The Executive). He gives instructions and make vital decisions

2.     God the Son – (The Architect). He molds God’s instructions into God’s plans for us.

3.     God the Holy Spirit- (The Contractor). He carries out the plans of God in our lives.

         THE SYMBOL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

1.     Water- John 7:37-39, John 4:14.

2.     Fire- Acts 2:1-4, Psalm 97:3

3.     Oil- Psalm 23:5, Isaiah 10:27, Acts 10:38 Psalm 89:20.

4.     Dove- Matthew 3:15-17.

5.     Seal- the Holy Spirit as a Seal authenticates or confirms our adoption in Christ- Ephesians 1:13, 2Corinthians 1:20-22.

6.     Wind- Acts 2:1-4, Isaiah 41:15-16, Genesis 1:1-3.

THE NAMES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE BIBLE

The Third Person of the God head in the Bible is referred to as;

1.     The Spirit of God- Romans 8:14, Numbers 24:1-2, Rom. 8:9, Job 33:4.

2.     The Spirit of Christ- Romans 8:9.

3.     The Holy Spirit- John 14:26, Luke 11:13.

4.     The Comforter or the Helper- John 15:26, John 16:7-8.

5.     The Holy Spirit of promise- Ephesians 1:13.

6.     The Spirit of Truth- John 16:13, John 15:26.

7.     The Spirit of Grace & Supplication- Zechariah 12:10, Heb. 10:26-29.

8.     The Spirit of life- Romans 8:1-2.

9.     The Spirit of adoption- Romans 8:15.

10. The Spirit of holiness- Romans 1:1-4.

11. The Spirit of the Lord- Ezekiel 37:1, Luke 4:18-19.

12. The Spirit of His Son- Galatians 4:4-6.

13. The breath of life or the breath of the Almighty-Psalm 33:6,Job 33:4, Gen. 2:7.

14. The Spirit of wisdom and revelation- Ephesians 1:15-17.

15. The Eternal Spirit- Hebrews 9:13-14.

16. The Oil of Gladness- Hebrews 1:9.

17. The Spirit of faith- 2Corinthians 4:13.

18. The Spirit of the Living God- 2Corinthians 3:1-3.

19. The Spirit- John 3:6, Acts 16:7, John 6:63, 2Corinthians 1:20-22, Rom. 8:9.

20. The Unction or the Anointing- 1John 2:20, 1John 2:27.
